1, Water latex coating: HEC as a protective colloid, can be used for vinyl acetate emulsion polvmerizationimprove the stability of polymer in awide PH range. Additives such as pigments and filers used in the manufactureof finished products are dispersed, stabilized and provide thickening. it can also be used for styrene, propionicacid ester, propylene and other suspended polymers as dispersant. it can significantly improve the thickenino property and leveling property in latex paint. 2, Oil driling: HEC is used as a thickening agent in all kinds of mud required for drilling, positioningcementing and fracturing operations, so that mud can obtain good fluidity and stability. The driling improvesmud carrying capacity and prevents large amounts of water from entering the reservoir from the mud, stabilizing the reservoir productivity. 3, Construction and building materials: due to strong water retention ability, HEC is an effective enhancerand binder for cement slurry and mortar. Adding HEC into mortar can improve fluidity and constructionperformance, and prolong the evaporationtime of water, improve the initial strength of concrete and avoidcracks. Used for plaster plaster, bonding plaster and gypsum putty cansignificantly improve its water retention and bonding strength. 4, Toothpaste: Because of its strong salt and acid resistance, HEC can protect the stability of toothpastepaste. In addition, because of water retention, emulsifying ability, toothpaste is not easy to dry. 5, Water-based ink: HEC can make oil-based drying fast not transparent. In addition, HEC is also widelyused in textile printing and dyeing, paper-making, daily chemicals, medicine and so on.
